After a busy and exhausting five days in Cambodia we were pretty ready for some serious relaxation, and Phuket was the perfect solution. We flew from Siem Reap via Bangkok to Phuket arriving in the evening. We stayed for five nights at the beautiful JW Marriott Resort right on the beach in Phuket. It was a pretty luxurious stay, and we enjoyed every second. Apart from one day, when we took a fabulous boat tour to the beautiful Phi Phi islands, we never went "off campus."
The beach in front of our resort
Sea kayaking
The JW Marriott Phuket. It was absolutely gorgeous!
The agenda for our time in Phuket was mostly lounging and swimming. But we had to take one day out of our hectic sunning schedule to take a boat tour out to see the beautiful Phi Phi islands. I decided to book a private charter so that we could enjoy the day all to ourselves. It was totally worth the extra cost. We had the boat and crew all to ourselves and were spoiled all day long with great service.
Arriving at famous Maya Bay on Ko Phi Phi Lee. It's definitely a tourist hot spot, but it's also very beautiful!
Totally spoiled all day long by our boat staff, with all kinds of good food and drink at every stop.
A little swimming break in the beautiful but salty water
Snorkel stop before lunch
On the way to lunch at Ko Phi Phi Don
I loved the fast rides to and from Phuket. So fun and relaxing.
The boat staff put a towel cape on Trevon for the ride back to Phuket.
The funny boat staff made this Leia wig out of a towel for Dallin and he really got into it.
