OC Invasion

I have never felt so invaded and loved every minute! The Hotel Ashton has been busy! We were booked solid with back to back guests for the entire month of April. It was crazy, but it was great. Even though they didn't bring any OC sunshine with them it was wonderful to feel a little OC love, and we also appreciated all the American goodies they sacrificed greatly to bring to us.

We toured, we talked, we ate, we laughed, we shared . . .

First on the guest list were Denise and Megan, a great mother daughter duo, celebrating Megan's senior year triumph and living out geeky literary fantasies. And there's no one else I'd rather geek out with over Harry Potter than these two (separate forthcoming post). These two are truly some of my favourite people on the the planet. And honestly, Megan is pretty much the gold standard of daughters.

Right after they left Lindsay and Brent joined us for a few days. It was so great to see them and get to know them on a whole new level. This is what I love most about hosting guests, it gives us the opportunity to really make a connection and make some fun memories doing it. The highlight of their visit was our night out in the West End. I wish I had photos of the fabulous steak meal we enjoyed, but we at least took photos of the cupcake desert. And per usual, Les Mis was wonderful! Such a perfect night that ended in a midnight stroll on the banks of the Thames.

Brent left before Lindsay. He flew home the same day my two great girlfriends, Kari and Kami arrived. So the four of us were able to do some fun things together before Lindsay left. It was a perfect week of girl fun . . . shopping, tea, a show in the west end, the cinema, a little sightseeing and lots of great food and laughs. A girl couldn't ask for better friends.
