Cotswolds

A couple of days after touching down from my whirlwind BFF Boston excursion, Scott and I had an opportunity to escape to the country together. I love London, but I had forgotten just how much I love England until I rediscovered her beyond the tube's reach. The Cotswolds are a cluster of hillside villages in the heart of England just a two-hour's drive from the heart of London. It's amazing how two hours can take you from the sounds of trains and taxis to the sounds of swaying hillside grass and grazing sheep. In fact Cotswold actually means "sheep enclosure in rolling hillside." And when you visit, it's obvious why. Ba, ba everywhere a ba, ba! These towns were built on wool's fortune and each comes with a Sheep Street . . . and plenty of charm!

Shannon, your photos are breathtaking!! What an unbelievable Bed & Breakfast cottage. It must have been a photographer's dream!

And yes! Lizzie found a fountain pen in Edinburgh at a stationery store - 2 disposable pens for 3 pounds - she was thrilled!

*SIGH* I seriously can't say more. Your blog is heaven. I personally hope that heaven looks somewhat like the Cotswolds (with a Target).

Cotswold reminds me of a town we stayed in outside of Brandon. The pictures of the grounds are amazing and I can just hear those sheep!

I love the English Countryside. When I stayed in a B & B in Devon, I felt like I was in a Jane Austen Novel!!
