For February break we planned a trip to Florida to meet Scott's parents and to get some sun. Sadly I was sick pretty much the entire time (I felt my throat start to hurt in the airport bathroom on the way over) so it wasn't that enjoyable for me. But we made the best of it and tried to soak up the sun, enjoy grandparent time, and play for a few days at Disneyworld as well as a day at Kennedy Space Centre. My memories are mostly how bad I felt, but hopefully the kids remember it differently! The very best part was having Dallin with us to be all together. We weren't sure he was going to be able to make it, but he was able to get away from school for the week and join us.
Our first visit to the Kennedy Space Center, which we really enjoyed. So many neat exhibits from all eras of NASA space exploration.
The best part of the Space Center experience is the bus tour out to the launch pads. So amazing to see where the spaceships go through final assembly and are launched into space. Interesting to learn about the many collaborative projects going on, both in the private and government sectors.
Fun times doing a photo shoot in front of a green screen
Enjoying the warm sunshine at our resort
Love seeing these three together! Best thing ever!
Trevon's cast from his broken wrists (two broken wrists, one cast!) gratefully didn't stop him from enjoying the pool. A bit of research and a fabulous protective product I sourced on Amazon and he was able to enjoy the pool all week and still keep his cast bone dry.
