We decided to surprise the kids with a trip to Florida to see their grandparents and to go to Disneyworld. We booked the trip for February half term break back in November and gave the trip to them as a gift on Christmas day when we were in Chile. Before we left on our epic hike up Las Torres we had them open small red boxes with the Disney magic bands inside. They had never seen them before, so they weren't sure what it was at first. They needed a little prompting, but eventually got what it was and were completely surprised and even incredulous that we were actually going to Florida in February!
We flew over on Saturday and arrived in Orlando Saturday evening. Then we had to get our hire car and drive three hours to Scott's mom's house on Amelia Island. It was a struggle as we were all painfully tired and jet-lagged, but we made it! They next day after church we went to the beach.

Amelia Island & Disneyworld
Monday morning Scott's mom and David took the kids fishing, which is pretty much Dallin's dream come true. Ever since he found out we were going to Florida he began scheming about how to fit in a fishing trip! They were so good to fit this in for them. Dallin just loves it! Everyone caught fish, and it was a great morning.
Monday afternoon we drove down to Orlando to check-in to our resort at Disneyworld. We loaded up on supplies for the week and took a dip in the pool.
On our first morning at Disneyworld, still partially on UK time, we awoke before the sun and were treated to this magnificent sunrise over Disneyworld.
We were able to spend one day at each of the four Disneyworld parks. The first day we spent at Animal Kingdom
Hollywood Studios
Magic Kingdom
Epcot Center
