Summer 2012 was definitely dominated by Olympic action here, but when we weren't distracted by that or traveling, we managed to have some good old fashioned summer fun. London style. This is what the non-Olympic, non-travel part of our summer looked like.
Open Air Theatre in Regents Park with good friends
Sweet shops in London
Lunch with dad at work
Slip and slide in the back garden on one of like two days that was actually hot enough to bust it out
Kids' Week! One of my favourite things about London in summer. During Kids' Week most west end big theatres offer free tickets to children to select showtimes. I took Trevon and Madeleine to see Lion King (Dallin was at camp). It was such a fun day!
For lunch the kids chose the Rain Forest Cafe, and it was the prefect choice for our animal themed theatre day out.
Chinatown
M&M World
Shopping at Covent Garden
Lunch at Hard Rock. Living here we appreciate our annual ranch dressing, free refill fix at the only place you can find either in London!
Piccadilly Circus
Hangin' in Leicester Square
Spending a relaxing couple of days with friends in a country house outside of northwest London doing a little swimming, sunning, hiking and a whole lot of nothing!
And what summer would be complete without little brother trying on big sister's clothes?
