Fall is falling, or as they say here autumn. Even after nearly three full years spent in the UK I still catch myself saying fall to locals when autumn is the term used here. Fall just falls off the tongue more easily. Fall, autumn, whatever you call it, it is quickly escaping us. With the onset of November comes not only Guy Fawkes fireworks, darker and shorter days, but chillier weather and barren trees.
Before the trees shed all of their leaves I went out to shoot some of autumn's best warm colours in early October when the UK was experiencing a crazy Indian summer. What a glorious autumn it has been here! We do not live in central London any longer, but neither do we live out in the country. We live in a wonderful little pocket of outer London that is a perfect hybrid of central London living with outer London space and natural beauty. We are steps from a most beautiful park where deer roam free and people gather to enjoy the natural beauties of one of outer London's best green spaces.
