Trying to at least, but faring well during all these farewells has been a challenge. We have moved quite a lot during our marriage (so far holding a steady pattern moving every two and three years) that we are not at all unfamiliar with this most painful part of moving, but it never gets any easier. In many ways this one is the hardest yet. Living abroad has been a very unique experience. And sharing this with those around us has certainly created very special friendships. Living so far from our own families and close friends back in the states, the people here have become much like family. We will miss them all so much, so much that I can hardly bear to say goodbye. So to you all I say "see you later!"

What a blessing to have such wonderful friends!
I really and truly feel sad for you. What a once-in-a-lifetime experience! At least you leave knowing you have sucked the marrow from your experience. I also feel sorry for myself. Alas, whom will I live vicariously through?!
