Honestly after the Garbage City post I wondered if I even wanted to post about the rest of our Egypt trip. It all just seems sort of silly and unimportant after what we experienced in Cairo. But here goes anyway . . . After three nights in Cairo we grabbed a short flight to the Red Sea resort town of Sharm-el-Sheikh to refill our depleted vitamin D tanks after a pretty dismal winter in the UK. Sharm is located on the Sinai Peninsula situated on one of the world's best coral reefs. Our resort had a private beach and a jetty right over the reef. Snorkelling was quite literally right out the front door. Sadly when we arrived the cough Dallin had developed at the end of our Cairo visit turned into pneumonia and he spent the first couple of days in this place of paradise in bed with a fever. It was a big bummer. The view of the sea from our villa almost seemed to stick its tongue out at him, and so we ended up extending our vacation by two days to compensate. In the end he recovered and we all enjoyed a week of fun in the sun! The resort totally spoiled us, and we might now be ruined forever.
The view from our villa
The view from the backside of our villa
The resort's kid-sized pools were perfect for Trevon
The swim-up bar was lots of fun
Pathway to the sea
Getting ready for the first dive (and Dallin's spring 2010 smile plagued by his orthodontic palate expander--it will be worth it later, I promise, Dallin!)
Can I go too?
All tuckered out after a long day in the sun
The shoreline at dusk
Dinner under the stars at this cliffside restaurant was spectacular
Trevon had so much fun playing in all the resort's beachside and poolside showers
A game of foosball in front of our villa
Our one and only trip "off campus" to the tacky tourist hub, Na'ama Bay
Na'ama Bay
Sharm Hard Rock, Na'ama Bay
On our way to meet our parasailing boat. Dallin and I had so much fun on a double parasail on the Red Sea, but no pics :(
Our resort from the sea
Not a great photo, but a wonderful date-night meal at the resort's fine dining restaurant
Dallin and Scott's first scuba instruction; I see a new hobby emerging.

Shannon, This looks like so much fun. After the Garbage City photos, even I felt the need for a vacation. Amazing!
GORGEOUS! So glad you posted this. :) Yea, you only need to go to Na'ama (sp?) Bay once to know you don't need to EVER go back again. :) Love your pics. I'm going to go look at them again!
That resort is GORGEOUS!! What a fun trip!
