Dallin's 17th and Christmas

Dallin turned 17!  Crazy to think he's one year away from being a legit adult.  We celebrated our man-boy with cake and presents on his birthday, and then he celebrated more with a final exam the next day!

Two days later we celebrated Christmas early at our house.  Christmas was definitely a bit unorthodox this year.  As we prepared for our big trip to Chile the only sensible solution to celebrating Christmas was to do Christmas morning a few day early.  It worked out that we had Christmas morning the same day we flew to Chile as our flight wasn't until the evening.  We decided to give ourselves all a break a let the kids skip the 3 hours of more or less pointless school their last day before the break, sleep in a bit and enjoy "Christmas morning."  

Geneva Girls Trip

When one of your close friends moves away it's a sad adjustment.  But when one of your close friends moves to Geneva (and not across the globe) it's a bit easier to swallow.  Geneva's only 90 minutes from London by plane.  Trina invited a few of us to visit her in her new home near Geneva and to explore a bit of the region around her in both France and Switzerland for some Christmas market fun.  Our group swelled to 8 and included some of the best friends a girl could ask for.  8 friends from 6 different countries who've all made London home.  So grateful to know each of them.  We had a grand time together.  Trina was an amazing hostess and tour guide!
